Product Description
Solid Sitka Spruce Top
Sitka Spruce delivers a broad dynamic range, which produces a crisp, immediate articulation while being versatile in terms of its sound. This makes sitka spruce suitable for just about any style of playing.
Sitka Spruce has a warmer, more fundamental sound, largely free of overtones. When combined with Flame Maple, the combination produces sounds that are clear and loud, and tend to emphasize the fundamental of a note more than its overtones.
Flame Maple Back & Sides
Flame Maple is a very hard type of wood with good tonal qualities and good sustain. Flame Maple has a strong low-end response and plenty of projection and clarity in the top end, and can be loud and project well. Flame Maple can also provide a considerable amount of treble.
Flame maple has a relatively quick note decay and provides excellent separation where every note sounding at the same time has clear definition. This makes it a great choice for any live performances because the clarity of tone cuts through the mix well and will lead to less feedback.

As leftys know, it can be tough to find a playable instrument. Stores don't stock them so it's not easy to try them out. This Sawtooth 6-string lefty acoustic guitar is great. The tuner is great. The electric pickup is great. It is a brassy sounding guitar, and it is not overly loud. The amplified sound is far less brassy, and if you play amplified just enough to equal the level of the guitar's acoustic output they are just great together. I am playing the original strings and string choice may be a factor in the brassiness - which isn't bad, it is just the timbre of the particular instrument. I play it through a Fishman Aura, with many settings to choose from that work well. The neck is fat as one would expect of a 6-string. Craftmanship appears 100%. Sawtooth uses gun patches in it, similar in that way to my Martin. There is a lot of great inlay in relatively inexpensive guitars out there, and this Sawtooth has great inlay work on the fretboard, though I do find it a bit large and loud. For some players that might be great, but I've mostly figured out where the frets are already so the big inlays are a bit flashier than I would prefer.

Warr********lorWhen I received my Sawtooth I just couldn't believe my eyes. It was beautiful & also had great quality for the money. I've only had it for a couple weeks & I can't put it down. My only wish is that I would have bought a6 string sooner. Yes I love my Sawtooth and the only way you would get it from me is to pry it from my dead hands. I think this means that I would recommend this guitar to anyone who loves playing guitars!

Paul********fordFretwork is perfect, so is the setup. It plays easier than my electrics do. Loving the built in Fishman tuner and gorgeous abalone inlays. Sounds clear and bright when played unplugged. Haven't gotten to plug it in and use the preamp yet, but it's a Fishman, so I'm sure it functions well. A spectacular value and a real looker to boot.

Syx******m)I did not have any of the pesky little issues that come with beginner guitars. I have perfect action and do not have any buzz even when playing higher up the registry. I feel that for the fantastic price I paid I got a real gem. If I was still playing live this would be in my arsenal of instruments on every gig! I do not feel in any way that this was not a perfect buy for me, so for any seasoned guitarist wanting a great instrument, I believe you will be more than pleased with your purchase!
